The Whiteknights Studio Trail first conceived by Susanna Beer, Pip Hall and Jenny Halstead in 2000 started in 2001 with 19 members in 13 venues. It has now become an annual event with 13 crafts, practiced by 33 members in 22 venues on this 2011 trail.

Many of the several hundred visitors we welcome each year have become regulars - one or two claim to visit all the venues over the weekend, others like to visit all representatives of a particular craft, some come on bikes whilst most walk. There is a downloadable pdf version of our iconic flyer, designed by Conservatree, available from this site should you want a printed copy and not have had one delivered to your door already.

Whichever way you choose to do the trail, be it meandering across the university grounds (why not have a picnic lunch?) or sticking to the pavements - we do hope you enjoy it. There is a car park provided by our sponsor, University of Reading, accessible via Pepper Lane and indicated on the map.
